Congratulations on being selected for the
2009 IHSAA Leadership Conference!
Here’s a GREAT opportunity for YOU to help kids who want to enjoy sports like you
do, but need ball gloves, cleats, tennis rackets and other gear to get in the game.
New and gently used sports equipment will be collected at the Leadership Conference
for the
Geared for Health: Sports Equipment for Kids program. IHSAA is partnering with Indiana Sports Corporation in this effort to get serviceable equipment into
the hands of underserved youth to help jumpstart more active lifestyles and better
health. In addition to providing a great assist to kids who need your help, you
also have the opportunity to compete for exciting prizes. As you arrive at the Conference
the equipment your team has brought to donate will be weighed. The two schools who
contribute the most pounds of gear will win the following prizes.
First Prize:
Four tickets to an Indianapolis Colts home game in the exciting new Lucas Oil Stadium. (Game to
be determined)
Second Prize:
Four tickets to the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament
(March 4-7, 2010, at Conseco Fieldhouse – your choice
of session)
Suggested items: (We cannot
accept helmets of any kind)
Inflatable balls of
all types (must be in GOOD condition), baseball, softball, T-ball, golf, football,
hockey, lacrosse, field hockey, tennis and badminton equipment,
pom-poms, Frisbees, jump ropes, shoes with
